21 Dec 2010 - Winter Equinox

21 December 2010, the Winter Equinox and the Lunar Eclipse. What a sight! Here are some photos and the times that they were taken. Enjoy! The Red Moon on this date will not happen for another 350 years.

Boise, Idaho. Full moon at 2305 MST, 20 Dec 2010

20 Dec 2010. 2358 MST. The eclipse starts. We watched this part through our skylight in our kitchen.

0042 MST. The moon turns red.
