Greenbelt Iris and Solar Eclipse
The solar eclipse was taken by flowing the image through binoculars and seeing the image on a white background. I was surprised at the colors. The photo was taken in Boise, ID on 20 May 2012 at approximately 7:28pm, MDT. The iris is a wild one growing along the Boise Greenbelt. Enjoy!

Salsa Rose
First of our Salsa Rose. I can not find another bush of this type or I would probably have two or three more. They are an awesome rose. Beautiful color and fragrance.

Poppy's X2
By using some HDR software, you can make some amazing photographs. Look at this one. The first one is the original photograph and the second one is HDR processed. Enjoy!

California Poppy Re-Done
Exact same photo as below. Processed differently:
1) This photo was processed using Photomatrix Essentials 3.0 which is specifically designed to work with HDR photos. It is a stand alone program and is comparatively easy to use. There is a good tutorial on their web site. $39.95 online download.
2) The second post below, was processed by using the Corel Paintshop Pro 3X. Not a steep, but a longer learning curve and somewhat complex. $49.95
Personally, I like the Photomatrix Essentials processed final product better. Clean, sharp image and full of definition. But you be the judge and let me know. Cheers!

Still Life and Rain
What to do on a rainy, cool day. Time to practice with aperture settings, speeds and ISO settings. Generally, f/5.3, ISO 800 and shutter 125 to 250sec. Focal Length 36mm. Camera, Nikon D40x with a Nikkor 18-55mm lens. Some of these came out pretty good. What do you think? Let me know. Enjoy!

Colors Of Fall In Idaho
The Fall colors. Just beautiful. Love to be where we have four distinct seasons. From the last of the tomatoes to the last of the nasturtiums and pansies. The oak leaves and the maples. Just beautiful and vivid. Enjoy!

Fall Is In Bloom
After a slow and gentle fall misty rain and the air is full of the mountainous sweet cinnamon smell of the Yarrow, the colors of fall are vibrant and the Last Rose of Summer is in full bloom, there is peace in this valley.
