Horizontal Icicles

I don't know that I have ever seen horizontal icicles. But here they are. And no, the photo is not modified. I do know, however, how they are created. Look close. Enjoy!

Winter's Blue Stalagtites

I remember seeing the glaciers in Switzerland. They were blue and that always amazed me. I remember seeing the glaciers in Alaska. They were blue and that always amazed me. Now we have blue icicles on our block in Boise. The subtle color amazes me.

Katherine Albertson Park Re-Visited

For all of you in the Boise area that still had to work today, here is what it looked like in the protected areas of the city park system. For those of you not in Boise, enjoy the sights. This is why I do love it here. Enjoy!

Sounds of Silence - Katherine Albertson Park, Boise

Simon and Garfunkle had a song last century called the Sounds of Silence. I think this is what they were singing about. I do miss their music. The photos were taken on 22 November 2010 after an early morning snowfall. I have been asked what equipment I use and today I used a Nikon D40X camera with an AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm zoom lens and a Nikon D3000 camera with an AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm zoom lens. Enjoy the photos.
